PEOPLE THIS IS THE FINAL PUSH
The hard part of gathering enough cardboard for our special project has been accomplished. Those of you who donated THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!
A special thanks needs to be given to Brad Clements, his decision to install a home theatre put the Screaming Eagles over the top in cardboard (75% of all cardboard used in this tifo project came from Mr. Clements). THANK YOU MR CLEMENTS, there is a special place in Tifo heaven just for you.
The Screaming Eagles tifo crew will be meeting all this week (Oct 6-10) to put the finishing touches on the tifo for the upcoming US v. Cuba game. Below is the schedule for this week. If you can spare an hour or two your assistance would be appreciated.
All tifo creation parties will be held at Tim’s house, or in the alley behind.
Schedule
- Monday 7:00 PM til WHENEVER PM: Painting
- Tuesday 7:00 PM til whenever PM: Finish painting and assembly
- WEDNESDAY: NO MEETING
- Thursday 7:00 PM til whenever: Touch up on painting. DC UNITED GAME WILL BE SHOWING ON THE BIG SCREEN.
- FRIDAY TIME TBA: DRINK LOTS OF BEER AT Momo’s, then assemble tifo and poles, paint banners
- Saturday Morning 8AM to 12 NOON: Finish Painting Banners & assembling of tifo and pack car.
Please RSVP by email to Tim at tifo@screaming-eagles.com and he can provide directions and more details (Tim lives in DC and is Metro accessible). As always, beer will be provided.
If you can not assist with the build but will be going to the game, Tim will need volunteers once inside RFK to hold up items for the special display before kickoff AND to hold up some banners at the back of the section during the game. If you are interested in assisting and you are sitting in the SE sections (especially the back row for the banners) please let Tim know prior to the Tailgate.
