Scarf
-noun
1. a long, broad strip of wool, silk, lace, or other material worn about the neck, shoulders, or head, for ornament or protection against cold, drafts, etc.; muffler.
At least that is what dictionary.com has as a definition. Of course, DC United fans have a much broader interpretation of what a scarf might be for. Perhaps a scarf is perfect for those looking for a little head covering to go along with the war paint. Without question scarves are for bringing fans closer together! When you have one you can certainly flaunt your style. You can always choose to add it to the collection of someone you care for. Most important of all, you can stand out in a crowd showing your unbridled passion!
Tis the season for giving after all. So whether you want to treat yourself or a loved one during the holiday season - what better gift than a genuine Screaming Eagles scarf. Just go to the SE store and follow the simple directions for online shopping.
A tremendous bargain at just $20!!
Specify whether you want a Standing Up For DC winter scarf to keep you warm and snug as the flurries fly or a summer scarf to keep you longing for those mid-season heat waves.
If you have any questions or wish to arrange direct delivery at one of our events and save the S&H, please do not hesitate to drop a note to outreach@screaming-eagles.com

Taking advantage of a glorious day for soccer, SE’s from Maryland, Virginia and DC came out to College Park for a wee bit of NCAA futbol action. What they witnessed was a competitive contest between the Terps and Golden Bears in a round of 16 matchup.
Not only did the fans get a chance to get a sneak preview of some likely future MLS draft picks like Jeremy Hall, Casey Townsend and Omar Gonzalez, but they got a chance for some nailbiting action that ended in a victory for the home side.
That means of course, that the Maryland Terrapins will not only be in the Elite Eight, but also will host Creighton! So what more do you need? Come on out for a match that will draw thousands of fellow fans of the beautiful game. You can even buy tickets online (or at the gate):
If you want to arrange pre-match meeting spot or want to carpool to the game, leave a note in the comments!
What: #2 Maryland vs. #7 Creighton
When: 1pm, Saturday Dec. 6th
Where: Ludwig Field, College Park MD
Tickets: $10 for Adults; $6 for Youth/Senior

Much belated congratulations to Devon McTavish who was presented DC United’s U.S. Soccer Foundation Humanitarian of the Year Award at the Fifth Annual United Awards Reception held at the Atlas Theater. Special thanks to all the SE’s who ventured out to take part in the evening’s festivities and raise money for United for DC. You were part of raising more than $30,000 for the wonderful programs that the six year old team’s charitable foundation is renowned for:
Through three primary initiatives, the organization touches countless lives throughout the local community. United Soccer Club, an after-school program created at the request of underserved local residents and funded wholly by the foundation, provides an organized outlet for children to play soccer at seven different locations twice a week in the spring and the fall. The Kicks for Kids program enabled more than 9,000 underprivileged youth to watch United play in person this season alone. United Reads provides a reading incentive curriculum in six DC elementary schools and includes the distribution of free books during player visits to classrooms.
