IT’S PARTY TIME!!!

The Screaming Eagles gather for food, drink and camaraderie 4 hrs before every D.C. United weekend home game at RFK Stadium. The tailgate is in parking lot 8 at RFK Stadium near the Soccer Celebration area (look for the large black SE canopies) and is open to members and their guests. We do have a limited supply of chairs and a lot of shade under our tents, but feel free to bring your own blankets and/or chairs to sit on. Times for the tailgate will vary based on kickoff time and day of the week so check for updates on the website. Our menus consists of the BBQ standards-hot dogs and burgers along with grilled chicken, bratwurst, chorizo, grilled pizza and Jamaican beef patties. We also have plenty of vegan/vegetarian friendly options

COST

SE members : $7 (includes buffet) Non-members : $10 (includes buffet and drinks)

Drinks Only : Free for members with 2009 SE ID, $10 non-members

TAILGATE PASSES

Per RFK regulations we cannot accept cash for food/drink in lot 8 so we have a pass system. Passes are turned in at the tailgate check-in table for a wristband that will give you access to the buffet. Passes for the tailgate are available for purchase at the SE ticket window (in Lot 5) on game day (CASH ONLY). You can pre-order passes for pick up at the tailgate check-in table via Paypal at payments@screaming-eagles.com (in the notes section, please indicate how many you are purchasing and if member, non-member). If you order by 4 pm on the Friday before a Saturday game we will have your name on a list, after 4 pm please print off your Paypal receipt and bring with you to the tailgate (we need a confirmation of payment).

FABULOUS BUFFET

The Screaming Eagles provide grilling items such as hot dogs, burgers (meat and veggie), buns, condiments and some sides and gourmet desserts. To supplement the spread we rely on the generosity of our membership to bring other assorted sides and desserts (or anything they would like to share to make the tailgate more festive). You don’t have to feed an army, whatever amount you bring is great. We take exotic home made dishes or something as simple as a bag of chips.

THIRST QUENCHING DRINKS

Members who are 21 and over can help themselves to the "kegs of the day." We do ask that you show your SE ID to get beer. We also have assorted soft drinks for the under 21 set and non beer drinkers (again, please show your 2009 SE ID or for guests, a wristband). Thank you to our 2009 tailgate sponsor Babylon Futbol Cafe in Falls Church, VA for donating 2 premium kegs for our tailgates this year.

VOLUNTEERING

The tailgate has run seamlessly each week over the years because of a great crew of volunteers. We always need help for set up, grilling, refresh the buffet, watching the drinks tent and tearing down. If you can help with any of these activities please contact Thea Kreinik at thea@screaming-eagles.com. This is a great way to meet people AND give back to the club who gives you so much!
