From Canadian Chill to Chicago Fire for United Fans

Smiles and Chills at BMO

Plenty of Cheer in the Chill

The spirit of the Black & Red fanatics who ventured to Toronto never wavered and a great time was had by all who were perched high in the East Stand!

It was an entertaining match against a much-bolstered TFC squad, but Olsen’s charges seemed up for the contest. Neither team held back and the clash of heads between Davy Arnaud and Michael Bradley was indicative of the ferocity of the battle at BMO.

Ryan Nelsen’s side may have just edged the contest, but those in attendance knew how narrow the margin was as the local fans left relieved and Olsen’s Army returned buoyed by the progress made in the side.

We Are United

The trekkers appear to have brought the Canadian chill back with them to start the week out so bundle up out there! Never fear though, Springtime temps are forecast just in time to warm up for the Chicago Fire match at RFK this Saturday.

Nicole is already busy taking orders in all of our sections, so snag your tickets on our online store here. We are gearing up to provide a hot welcome to Mike Magee and company and take a full three points from the afternoon game.

It was great to hear that others were also in action for the Black and Red elsewhere as Michael Seaton and Steven Birnbaum were scoring for the Kickers in Richmond.

The Academy sides likewise had a successful weekend playing the Baltimore Bays. If you get a chance, come cheer them on this Sunday as they take on Bethesda-Olney at Richard Montgomery HS.

We enjoyed the stadium by the lake, but would love to see our own built at Buzzard Point. So, if you are voting early please check to see which candidates support the stadium deal.

Don’t forget that you can always show your own support by spending a few moments on UniteDC.org to make your voice heard.

Kat in action

Got To Hand it to Kat

We wish Kat Cheshire all the best as she heads off on her new adventure. Through her years at United for D.C. her smile and cheerfulness brightened every outreach event and she will be greatly missed.  We know we will spot her running by somewhere in town and she has an open invitation to come relax at our tailgates!
