A New Tradition Begins

DC Brau and Nick Bring Smiles

Congratulations on a Fine Black & Red Brew

We are thrilled that our very own Donald Wine II won the DC Brau naming contest! You probably have seen him enthusiastically leading chants and cheers in front of the Nest on gamedays at RFK.

What better name than The Tradition and the rationale for choosing this particular moniker was certainly well thought out by Donald. As a club, we are ecstatic that one of our favorite local brewers has partnered with D.C. United to add something special to their line-up and can’t wait to savor it in Lot 8 this summer!

Donald is already jetting off for the Caribbean to witness first-hand the big World Cup Qualifier tonight. Don’t worry though, you have plenty of options on where to watch the game and perhaps even a chance to spot him in the crowd.

Whether you want to watch it on the giant screen at Ri Ra in Clarendon, with the RVA crowd at Gus’s, the Free State crew at Ri Ra in Bethesda, the Laughing Man Tavern downtown or a host of other places, we urge you to get there early because the viewing parties will undoubtedly fill up quickly as this is only being televised on beIN SPORT.

One if By Land

Rumor has it that those who are venturing to New England on the Boston or Bust Roadtrip may get a taste of The Tradition on the ride up! That will certainly help strengthen the fifty Black & Red voices in Foxboro!

There are only a handful of seats left as part of this amazing package deal that includes roundtrip bus ride, match ticket and hotel for just $50 member/ $75 non-member. So sign up online now and join in on what will be another historic trek to battle the Revolution. If you have any questions, just drop a note to Jimi at roadtrips@screaming-eagles.com

For those left behind, join us at Ri Ra in Clarendon or Ri Ra Bethesda, or get yourself out to the Pug on H Street or a host of other viewing parties at official DC United bar partners as we do our best to douse the Revolution on Saturday night.

Cap Off a Fine Club & Country Period

Next week we are back in action at home both midweek and on Saturday, so get yourself geared up for more football fun with your friends.

We scrap at the Maryland Soccerplex midweek against the Philly Union in Open Cup action and then host Toronto Saturday night. What a busy time and a perfect opportunity to welcome Alain Rochat who we acquired from Vancouver and already has the respect of his teammates here in DC.

Come On United (States and DC)!
