Is There A D.C. United Doctor in the House?

Best wishes to Robbie and Family

Wishing Robbie Well

“Dr. Russell, paging Dr. Russell” might not be too tough a chant to get right for the fans on such short notice. We’re sure there will be an appropriate send-off on Sunday for such a class act. Though Robbie has been with the team for a relatively short time, he has gained the admiration of all those he has come in contact with and the supporters are thrilled that he will pursue another dream so close by at Georgetown.

We wish the future Dr. Russell and his family all the best as he embarks on yet another adventure and rest assured he will always be greeted with open arms at any of our events when in need of a study break!

Speaking of departures and tough breaks, we would be remiss in not also wishing Ryan Tronovitch, who kept us informed of all the latest Black & Red happenings, good luck on his move to Raleigh and Marcelo Saragosa a speedy recovery from knee surgery.

Talon is ready for you

Ready to Wave the Flag ?

Talon has a natural advantage as an Eagle to be predisposed to supporting both Club & Country, but you can join in this weekend as well with so much on tap!

Make sure you participate in the Brand the Brew Contest for the limited edition D.C. United specific beer from DC Brau. We have long featured their craft beers at our tailgates and are positively thrilled that this partnership will produce something very special indeed.

The Open Cup has begun in earnest and we are looking forward to seeing whether we take on the Richmond Kickers or Icon FC on May 28th. While the competition may not yet have the drama of the FA Cup, there has been some giant-killing excitement during its long history and it is a very special opportunity for teams in the USA at all levels to dream big.

In fact, you can come out to the season opener for D.C. United’s U23 NPSL side coached by Jaime Moreno at West Springfield HS on Saturday at 7:30pm as this will begin their quest for a national championship and a US Open Cup bid for 2014.

Bring the Kids to RFK

Bring the Family Out

Kids and anyone young at heart can come out for all the fun on Sunday as we snap both our current streak and the Sporks along the way.

The tailgate begins early at 1pm and remember that the first 7,500 fans in the stadium will be getting American flags!

American Outlaws are coming

Hungry to Take on Germany?

Speaking of tailgates and American flags, our out-of-town guests have been snapping up tailgate passes for the festivities on June 2nd and you don’t want to be left out! The Centennial Celebrations that we are hosting with the American Outlaws will undoubtedly be epic.

Nicole is rushing to get the envelopes for our NINE SECTIONS at the match completed and it would help if you are coming to the tailgate to get put your order in now so that she can include your band with your tickets and be able to hand them out beginning on Sunday. Passes MUST be purchased in advance and you can do so right on our online store here.
