The off-season is starting to get interesting now that we have expanded our player pool with the addition of Nick DeLeon (Louisville) and the trifecta of supplementals – MF Lance Rozeboom (New Mexico), D Charles Rodriguez (Charlotte) and MF Matthew Kuhn (Drake). It will be interesting to see how, as Simon Borg describes them, “three above average college players who were leaders for their respective teams and will add to Ben Olsen’s locker room culture” pan out.

Equally important is the sense that there might be movement on the acquisition front as rumors have surfaced that our friends at FC Dallas may have given us an opportunity to add to our front line.

While the team warms up for the pre-season, we continue to gather steam as well with our social activities.

James Lambert took a moment this weekend to step away from answering membership questions and his beloved Hoyas to join in on the latest SEaT (Screaming Eagles at the Theater) event.

Everyone who came out to the Eisenhower Theater at the Kennedy Center had an uproarious time messing with Texas and the bravura performance of Holland Taylor as Ann Richards.

Tubular, Man!

Dig out your thermal underwear and join us on the slopes for our next outing! The deadline to sign up for this Saturday’s tubing trek to Liberty  with USS is Thurs, Jan 19th and if last year’s SE Team X-treme’s exploits are any guide, it will be an absolute blast!!

There will be plenty of time to catch up on all the latest news and even discuss whether you agree with Waldo’s latest rant as we venture up to the mountains in comfort. Jump aboard - a few spots remain on each bus.

Whether or not you join us during the day making snow angels and acting like the Jamaican bobsled team out on the slopes, please come hang out with the SEPL (Screaming Eagles Pub Lovers) and cheer on Klinsi’s kids as they take on Hugo Chavez’s crew in the evening.
