Don’t miss Kim Kolb’s Nestliner piece on the end of Jaime Moreno’s unmatched career. Whether wearing #9 or #99 he was without question the class of the league. Let us savor the remaining moments we have with him on the field before he hangs up his boots.

This will certainly be a hot topic at the beer tent on Saturday! Come on out with your friends for a little Tex-Mex tailgating and some foot-stomping fun prior to the FC Dallas 8pm match.

Game Tickets- Tickets in the SE Nest are on sale ($28 if ordered by 4 pm Fri, $32 on game day), contact Nicole at tickets@screaming-eagles.com

Aerie tickets are also on sale ($26 – save $6), send an email to outreach@screaming-eagles.com any time before the tailgate starts. After that it is first-come, first-served – so you better lasso yours early!!

Don’t forget to wear your best western attire (there will be prizes for creativity) to the tailgate and as always, volunteers eat for free (and this is a great way to meet people if you’re new).  Please contact Thea at thea@screaming-eagles.com if you can help.

So come on out and cheer for Ben’s debut at home as head coach!

You never know who you might run into on an SE roadtrip!

This groom got a special surprise when his favorite player showed up to celebrate the occasion at Gillette. You can join in the fun by grabbing some tickets to a future roadtrip. So come cheer on the boys against Chivas USA, Toronto FC and LA Galaxy in the coming weeks.

The next few weekends are packed with activities as well so jump right in line and join in!

Whether you want to snag a United Builds t-shirt at the beautifying Ketcham Elementary School project next Saturday morning or kick a ball for the SE women’s entrant in the Supporters’ Charity Shield at noon or reserve a tube on our Riverfest ’10 trip the following weekend – you can get info on Saturday.

That’s right – you can continue the long tradition we have of a little sweat equity for the kids as we help get another elementary school shipshape. Please e-mail Kat at KCheshire@dcunited.com for additional details or to sign up to participate.

If you’ve played competitive women’s soccer at the high school, club or college level our outreach team would love you to join the squad for the Suppoters’ Charity Shield that will be held on Saturday at noon at RFK Auxiliary field. Please email us at outreach@screaming-eagles.com if you would like to play for two great causes – United for D.C. and the Wounded Warrior Project.

After all the hot weather it is time to relax and chill. What better way than with your fellow SE’s? We already have sixteen folks ready to head down the river on a lazy Saturday afternoon on August 28th. If you’re interested in soaking up the good times, send an email to kim@screaming-eagles.com

Is that Lance Armstrong you see?!!

Yes, with our very own Ray Whitney, who is on a mission to raise funds for fighting cancer. Please read his letter and consider supporting his efforts as he takes to the road.

What is Ben all excited about? Why, our Fan of the Match, of course!

That’s right, catch up with some of our former winners from the Seattle Sounders and LA Galaxy matches and prepare to raise the roof this Saturday yourself.

You never know who the prize patrol might pick next!
