In conjunction with DC United’s match against the LA Galaxy this Saturday, our SE Tifo Tzar Tim Sheetz will be hosting a fundraiser in Lot 8 to support his brother Chris Sheetz (a fellow United fan and Huntington Beach, CA resident), who was critically injured in an accident on July 11th that left him paralyzed. Starting around 4 pm please stop by the table near the SE beer garden to get more information on Chris’ status or to make a donation. Tim will have www.chriswillwalk.com shirts for a donation of $15. All money raised will go directly to support his brother and his family with his recovery expenses.
Days after the accident, friend’s of Chris started www.chriswillwalk.com to keep friends and family up to date on his progress and to take donations to help Chris and his family, who at the time of his injury was without health insurance due to a pre-existing medical condition.Those who cannot attend on Saturday are encouraged to visit www.chriswillwalk.com to learn more about Chris’s story and contribute to his full recovery effort.

Tailgate: We’re expecting a HUGE crowd at the tailgate on Sat so for everyone’s enjoyment we ask the following:
1. We REALLY could use some desserts and sides. If you can bring something, please shoot Jeff an email at tailgates@screaming-eagles.com so we know what’s coming.
2. Note that tailgate pass sales are ending at 6 pm (and if you come at 5:57 pm we’re not guaranteeing you’ll get a hot dog). Please plan your arrival accordingly so you can fully partake in the fabulous buffet and so our tailgate volunteers can clean up in time to see kick off.
Beer Selection for Saturday:
Peroni, Guinness, Bell’s Oberon (summer ale), Leinenkugel’s Classic Amber, Clipper City McHenry Lager, Dogfish Head Indian Brown Ale, Miller Lite & Yeungling. We also have soda and water.
The drinks tent opens at 3:30 and closes at 7 pm. Drinks free for SE members with SE ID card, non members need to purchase a tailgate pass ($10). We card for 21+ for alcoholic drinks.
Eagles Uncorked
We’re going to try a BYO SE wine club at this Saturday’s tailgate to gauge wine interest among our members (maybe later on we can do some professional tastings, winery tours, make our own wine,etc). Rules to participate in the Wine Club: each person must bring a bottle of wine (or 2) to the tailgate to share; you must be 21 yrs old (we will be carding separately from the beer tent). The tasting tent will be opposite the buffet area along the fence, look for signage. We’ll have cups, a tub with ice and a few corkscrews (if you can bring your own, groovy). We don’t expect people to know anything about the wine they bring (if you do, please share) nor do we expect expensive bottles. Just come and enjoy some vino and meet some new people.
