Sides,Desserts & Volunteers NEEDED! As we will be entertaining guests from the Eddie Pope Foundation and possible the US Soccer Foundation’s Passback program we could have a VERY big crowd at the tailgate so we REALLY could use some desserts and sides. As always, you don’t need to make enough for an army and food doesn’t have to be home made. Please contact Suzanne at queenofcheese@screaming-eagles.com if you plan on bringing something so we can leave enough space on the buffet tables (if you’re bringing something that needs to be heated up or kept warm we REALLY need to know in advance what’s coming so we put out extra warmers).
We need volunteers in ALL of the usual tailgate areas (set up/tear down, grill, drink tent, buffet and membership table). If you volunteer you eat for free (and you get to hang out with the best damn tailgate crew in MLS!) Please contact Thea at thea@screaming-eagles.com if you can lend a hand.
United Drive for July
United Drives benefits worthy non-profit organizations in the area by collecting much-needed items to help with each beneficiary’s mission. This initiative assigns a different charity drive for each month of the 2009 regular season, including the collection of soccer equipment, food, children’s books, and school supplies. The drive for July is used soccer equipment that will go to the US Soccer Foundation’s Passback program. Collection bins will be outside of Gate A. For more info, go here.

So, we meet again! D.C. United beat the Rhinos in the US Open Cup final back in 1996 (so combined with the MLS Cup United won the double that year!)
TICKETS
$20 for D.C. United season ticket holders (if ordered in advance). If you have one season ticket, you get one ticket at the $20 price.
$25 for everyone else and day of game

1. Your name, address (no PO boxes), phone, e-mail address, and ticket status
2. Your name as it appears on the credit card, the number and expiration date.
All orders will be confirmed by email.
Pick up the tickets at the Will Call tent at the Soccerplex.
Deadline to order through the SEs is 6 pm, Sunday, July 19.
There’s no tailgating at the Soccerplex, however they have an area where they sell an EXTREMELY limit supply of beer and beerlike drinks (what was the deal there the last game??). Anywho, we recommend hitting Dogfish Head Alehouse on the way to stadium, (800 W Diamond Ave, Gaithersburg) where the beer is good AND plentiful.
