SE Tailgate Information for D.C. United-Real Madrid Game

We’re having a catered tailgate SOMEWHERE at Fedex Field parking lots (still trying to finalize the location so we’ll get back to you with that and the timing). This will be a catered affair. Cost is $10 for SE Members AND Non (includes food and drink). If you just want drinks it is also $10, (your SE ID will not work for free drinks for this game). We will not be accepting ANY payments at Fedex Field so you must order and pay for your tailgate pass in advance (NO EXCEPTIONS). Please send money via Paypal to payments@screaming-eagles.com (in the subject header put Real Madrid tailgate and in the notes section indicated how many passes you need). Your name will be on a list and you’ll receive your wristband when you check in. The deadline to order passes is Wednesday, August 5, by 4 pm. If you have questions, please contact Jeff.

 American Outlaws – D.C. Chapter

You may have heard about the American Outlaws and wondered what they were all about. Or you’re just now reading this and became curious as to who they are. You may know about them and want to know how to join the D.C.Chapter, when to meet up or even where viewing parties are held. Well, worry no longer, my Die Hard USA supporters, using the Five Ws (and One H), J Love is gonna answer all your questions. Or create more.

Who: The American Outlaws started in Lincoln, NE as a local supporters group. Throwing viewing parties at local bars and attending every game possible sparked excitement amongst some of the leaders of the group, who felt like they could do more. In attending these games, a lack of consistency was observed from game to game with regard to the level of supporter organization, particularly with events surrounding the game (ie tailgates, parties, etc.). We then decided to make AO a nationwide, non-profit supporter group.

What: To support the United States National Team through a unified and dedicated group of supporters.

Where: At stadiums where the U.S. Men’s National Team plays or Viewing Parties at local bars (which local bar? ask Justin Coughlan, he knows a few)

When: Any time the U.S. Men’s National Team plays.

Why: Because the American Outlaws want as dedicated fans for the U.S. Men’s National Team as D.C. United has for their team.

How: You can join at the AO website (it’s just $15 for the year) or come see Justin Coughlan (The guy with J Love on his back at SE tailgates or in the SE Nest) and he can tell you all about it or email him here

We’re already working on future viewing parties and most importantly the US game coming up at RFK in October. If you would like to be part of the DC Chapter planning committee please let Justin know (if you just want to be on the chapter mailing list to get updates, that’s cool too, just let Justin know). The DC Chapter page on Facebook will be made live soon so look for us there.
