What a week – whew!!

Today is the last day to sign up for the DC United Race for the Cure team. We are within sight of the $3000 goal!! So come join us on Saturday (if you signed up independently but still want to walk with us, contact outreach and we can send along the meet up info.

The excitement builds for the Inaugural Supporters’ Charity Shield on Sunday afternoon. Click on the link for ALL of the details. The Screaming Eagles women’s squad could still use some players – so if you would like to suit up and play for a couple of tremendous charities drop Rebecca a note.
If you absolutely cannot make it Sunday – you can still donate at Thursday’s truncated tailgate prior to the NYRB match. You can also buy an SE poncho or the fab SE "The Bull NEVER Wins!" t-shirt ($20, men’s and women’s sizes available) – remember all proceeds from our SE gear sales goes to fund our charitable efforts.
Which reminds us – there are still Aerie tickets available for the NYRB match for $22. All proceeds from this match will be going to support the soccer tournament run by the Refugee Center. Just send a note to outreach@screaming-eagles.com
The Refugee Center helps individuals and families brought to the Washington metropolitan region by the United Nations refugee resettlement program to become acclimated to their new home.

Finally, in that international vein – try to prop your eyes open tonight (or program your TIVO) on ESPN2 for all the excitement from Saprissa! Kick off is at 10 pm. If you’ve somehow missed it, Goff’s travelogue is worth a moment or two (or you can catch up with SEs Jan and Mike Lastort who are down there for the game). If you’re a young hipster (or gainfully unemployed), the usual places will have the game tonight as well as the US-Honduras game on Sat (kick off on Sat is at 8 pm).
