Sides,Desserts & Volunteers NEEDED! We will need some sides and desserts. As always you don’t need to make enough for an army and doesn’t have to be home made. Please contact Suzanne at queenofcheese@screaming-eagles.com if you plan on bringing something so we can leave enough space on the buffet tables (if you’re bringing something that needs to be heated up or kept warm we REALLY need to know in advance what’s coming so we put out extra warmers).
We need volunteers in ALL of the usual tailgate areas (set up/tear down, grill, drink tent, buffet and membership table). If you volunteer you eat for free (and honestly, all the REALLY cool kids volunteer for the tailgate!!) Please contact Thea at thea@screaming-eagles.com if you can help out.
United for D.C. Toy Drive
United for D.C. will be holding a toy drive benefit the Children’s National Medical Center and The Children’s Center this Saturday. Fans who donate an item will receive a "Buy One, Get One Free" ticket voucher, redeemable for that day’s match or any other 2009 regular season home game, excluding the L.A. Galaxy game on August 22 (not redeemable for the SE Nest section). The collection bin will be located outside RFK Stadium’s Gate A, and is open from two hours prior to the game until 15 minutes after kick-off. Donations are also accepted in the D.C. United offices, located on the fourth floor of Gate A. This season marks the seventh year of the United Drives campaign, which collects much-needed items to help with each beneficiary’s mission.

DC United has prepared a special order form for current Screaming Eagle members to use to order tickets for this game (it was sent out on Monday, June 8 so check your spam filter or send a note to tickets@screaming-eagles.com if you didn’t receive it). If you haven’t renewed your 2009 SE membership, now is the time! Tickets are $50. The supporters groups will have the same lower bowl end zone seats that we had for the Chelsea game a few years ago. Seat assignments are going to be handled by United on a first come, first served basis within the sections reserved for the Screaming Eagles. They will mail your tickets to you.

The CONCACAF Gold Cup is the biennial nations championship for North and Central America and the Caribbean, and is the confederation’s premier event. The Gold Cup evolved from a series of championships in the region dating back to 1941.
The Screaming Eagles will be selling tickets for this match (in our usual Nest seats, not a general admission section). This is a pro USA section so we expect people to cheer on the Red, White and Blue.
