Everyone is invited to come out to a wonderful charity event!
What: Inaugural DC United Supporters’ Charity Shield Match
When: Sunday, June 7th 1pm – 5pm
Where: George Mason University Robinson Field
Tickets: $10 Donation
The Screaming Eagles and the Barra Brava men’s and women’s soccer teams will be taking to the pitch at GMU to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Wounded Warrior Project.
DC United players and families will be present to cheer on the teams and mingle with supporters. Don’t be surprised if you see the tables turned for once with a player or two wearing face paint, banging a drum or waving a flag!
The women’s match will begin at 1pm and the men will follow at 3pm in a friendly competition designed to show how soccer supporters can gather for some great causes while having a good time both on and off the field.
Brian Glance will be leading his WISL men’s team as this year’s entrant for the men. His squad is the oldest SEFC side having competed for over a decade wearing the colors of the Red & Black.
Becca Johnson will be leading a group of women out for the first match and if you would like to join the squad for this event just drop her a note directly as there are still some positions left to fill.

Nadine Namoff could use our help!
This is another event that will help her as she vies for the LLS Woman of the Year.
Robinson Field is located adjacent to the P.E. building, just off of Patriot Circle on the Campus of George Mason University at 4400 University Drive in Fairfax, VA.
For those interested in more than just the matches themselves check out Brion’s Grill before and after the event (no alcohol will be allowed at GMU for this event).
For more information on this or any of our charitable efforts, please do not hesitate to ask our community outreach crew.
