Time to rally with your fellow SEs!

This Saturday, it’s time to stand up, be counted, and show your support in person for keeping DC United in the DC area.

Join your Screaming Eagles family for a fan rally – being held jointly with Barra Brava and La Norte – which will begin this Saturday at 3:30 PM in Lincoln Park, 11th and East Capitol Street, NW. The rally will be followed by a march from the park down East Capitol Street to Lot 8 for our usual tailgate, which will start as we arrive around 4:30-4:45. Kevin Payne will address the crowd in Lot 8 after we arrive.

Wear your Screaming Eagles gear. There will be an SE banner for us to walk behind.

Transportation: RFK’s Lot 8 will be open by 2:30 and buses will be running between Lot 8 and Lincoln Park between 2:30 and 3:30. However, please consider using Metro (the closest station is Eastern Market) because space will be limited. There is a walking map from the Eastern Market stop here.

 Tailgate Update

The SE tailgate will start at 4:30 pm with both food and drink service. Grills will be shutting down and tailgate pass sales will stop at 6 pm, the buffet will close at 6:30 pm. As a special for marchers, all drinks will be complimentary for members/non members, passes for the buffet will be $7 for all too.

The beer selection for Saturday will be Peroni, Guinness, Leinenkugel’s Special Ale, Dogfish 60 Minute IPA, Miller Lite, Bell’s Oberon and a Mystery keg. Thanks to Peroni and Babylon Futbol Cafe, as always. We’ve also heard there will be an assortment of jello-shots. Tips for these little jiggly delights would be greatly appreciated, monies collected will be going to help pay for uniforms and equipment for the Thurgood Marshall Middle School soccer team in Prince Georges County.

D.C. United’s official post game party is at Hawk and Dove, 329 Pennsylvania Ave, SE. The specials are $2 pints of Bud Light and Miller Lite all night long, as well as a special pitcher-and-pizza deal for just $10. Use the Capitol S Metro stop.
