What a whirlwind of activity – coffee pots, beer cups and donor drives – and we’re only just getting started!
Kudos to those who traveled down to Charleston to witness (and taste) a 2-0 victory over the Battery.
It is nice to know that we have at least one domestic trophy still in our possession as winners of the Coffee Pot Cup.
Despite the inclement weather, the Terps playing Duke for an NCAA tourney berth and a host of of other hurdles – the spirit of our volunteers came through.
We were able to raise over $500 for United for DC pouring beer at Shamrockfest 2009!!!
The regulars at the festival were absolutely gobsmacked by the atmosphere and energy displayed by our group as the songs and chants of the soccer fanatics mixed in with the Gaelic rhythms.
Well done!!

On Sunday, volunteers returned to RFK to help out with the bone marrow drive run by DKMS and Soccer Unites Utah in support of Marcia Williams.
Virtually the entire team showed up to get tested and added to the critical life-saving database of potential donors.
Fans who came were able to spend time chatting to Eddie Pope, Ben Olsen and Santino Quaranta who came with their respective loved ones to show how the extended DC United family is fully behind the effort.
If you missed out on all the action – there’s always next Saturday morning as we have another community activity to assist United Builds with the National Marathon. So, after everyone is done with the Annapolis rally on Tuesday - set your sites on returning to RFK! We will be running a water station at the halfway point and creating a fun "tailgate style" atmosphere.
