The Screaming Eagles outreach efforts this season have started off with a bang and now there is a way you can jump right in on opening day.
While listening to Franklin Foer’s address at the Kickoff Luncheon on his theories of globalization through the prism of a soccer fan it dawned on us that we definitely fit in!
Not only are we thinking globally with our Tips for Nets campaign at the tailgate on Saturday, but we are acting locally as we focus in on a very special drive in Prince George’s County.
If you have not been following the SE blog, Jimi Butler (our King of the Road) has thrown his heart and soul into helping a soccer program grow at Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Temple Hills, MD.
He desperately needs our help in raising money in time for the start of the season and that is exactly what we’ll be doing!
That’s right – not only can you purchase tix to the opening match in the Aerie at outrageously low prices or layer up in style, but you can help kids who live in Prince George’s County experience the joy of soccer!
We will, of course, continue our long-standing support for United for DC’s programs, but for opening day we are casting our nets a little wider.
We hope you will join us in this endeavor! If you have questions or would like to help out just drop a note to outreach@screaming-eagles.com
