Suds, Sides, Songs and Serendipity

The SE tailgate Crew has been working hard all week so it’s going to be a great time on Sat (rain OR shine!) Please note again that you can pre-purchase your tailgate passes (info is here, note the price change for members). Also note the timing (plan your arrival according or you could miss getting food and drink, we’re not a restaurant but a volunteer operation!)  We’re always looking for volunteers so contact Thea at thea@screaming-eagles.com if you can help out.

If you still need game tickets, contact the SE Ticket Mistress for the Nest (tickets@screaming-eagles.com OR for Aerie seats, outreach@screaming-eagles.com Tickets ordered in advance for the Nest are $26, $22 in the Aerie. Both are $30 on game day. Pre-order by 4 pm on Friday, 3/27.

Tailgate Timing

  • 3:30 pm Beverage tent opens

  • 4:00 pm The Fabulous Buffet opens

  • 6:00 pm Grill cool down

  • 6:30 pm Buffet closes

  • 7:00 pm Beverage tent closes, head inside

Beer Selection for Sat: We we have 7 kegs on Saturday that will include: Guinness, Spaten, Peroni, Bell’s Porter, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Miller Lite and a Mystery Keg (you’ll have to show up to see what it is!)  We will also have soda and water. All SE members drink for free with 2009 SE ID and a state ID that show’s you’re 21+.  Non members can get a tailgate pass for $10 (includes the buffet too).

Sides AND Desserts:  We’re expecting a rather large crowd at the tailgate on Saturday (being the home opener and all) so we REALLY could use some additional sides and desserts.  Items do not have to be home made nor do you need to make enough to feed an army (we will take a bag of chips or a package of Oreos). We do need to know what’s coming though so we can leave space on the buffet table so please contact Suzanne at queenofcheese@screaming-eagles.com (and maybe she’ll tell you how she got that name, provided your address her as Your Highness!)

Songs:  We’ll be cranking up the SE music machine, the tune list can be found here for your dining and dancing pleasure.  We’ve also updated the Nest song sheet so if you’re new to the Nest or if you’ve always wanted to know what you were singing (or supposed to be singing), here you go

As Luck Would Have It:  So the Washington Post’s Capital Weather Gang is predicting showers for tomorrow but we’re not fazed as we got our SE rain poncho delivery this week.  If you renewed your membership (or if you need to renew) stop by the membership table to pick up your poncho or other renewal gift.
