Well, you don’t have to go to the extremes of horseback to raise the cry to rally the troops!
The team will be providing free transportation to anyone who would like a ride to Annapolis for the Tuesday rally.
That’s right, if you can make it to Lot 5 at RFK – there will be a free bus ready at 11am to whisk you off to this critical event.
If you don’t think your voice needs to be heard, the word is already out that the NIMBY’s are gathering their forces.
We can report that those who oppose government financing for the stadium are rallying as well. Alerts have gone out to several civic groups that have expressed opposition to the idea, including the Prince George’s group People for Change. Longtime county anti-tax activist Judy Robinson said she is uncertain how many people either side will draw, given that the hearing will occur during a workday.
She said she plans to address the committee, asking aloud how many of the D.C. United supporters who attend live in Prince George’s.
Now is the chance to show that it is NOT whether you live there, but that you will travel there and spend your hard-earned dollars at the new venue!
