Pub Crawl Report: About 30 people checked out a few of the finer drinking establishments along U Street, NW this past Saturday before the US-Cuba/DC United-Earthquakes games. We got some great deals and made some new friends along the way (and as you can see in the pic below we had REALLY good time as we’re still smiling despite the United loss). Much thanks to SE NW DC regiment captain Ed Kubal for making the arrangements. We hope to put on more crawls in the future (contact your SE regiment captain if you’d like to help set one up).

Tim always needs volunteers to help make display stuff AND help in the SE Nest on game day (obviously the more help we have the more stuff we can do). Name that Tune-Win a Free Tailgate!
Come up with the best song title that best describes our upcoming game against FC Dallas and you can win a free tailgate (title can be something you make up or from an actual song). Email your entry to Kim by 5 pm on Friday, September 12 (include your name and email address). The winning entry will be posted on Saturday along with the playlist for the tailgate (winner will also be notified by email so please put email address you can be reached at during the weekend). Winner must use tailgate pass on the weekend that they win.

The Annual International Coastal Cleanup is Coming Sept 20

Join fellow DC United fans as we again help out on International Coastal Cleanup Day and put our efforts into cleaning up our favorite riverbank (and you can see what Poplar Point looks like).
D.C. United supporters of all ages are welcome to participate and we are certainly expecting a great turnout for this community outreach activity.
The site we’ve chosen is located at Anacostia Park. We will all meet around the picnic tables that are covered beside the small playground. Use the Nicholson Street entrance to the park, you’ll see a parking lot and the picnic area on the left.
