Tailgate Timing
Again, please aim to arrive before 6 pm. After that we do not guarantee variety or quantity at the buffet (and we need to start shutting stuff down so we can get packed up in time so tailgate volunteers can see kick off). It takes us two hours to set up the tailgate and we’re trying to pack up in an hour so if you can lend a hand, we’d really appreciate it.

Today’s Tifo Activities-WE NEED YOUR HELP
Today’s game will include pre-game tifo (right before kickoff), so we will need EVERYONE who sits in the Nest to participate (please explain this to any guests you might be bringing). Each row of the Nest will be given either a red or black piece of fabric (which will hopefully run the length of each row). At the agreed upon time, each SE will assist in holding the long piece of fabric in their row up to their chin or higher (this is so people don’t miss anything on the field). There will be signs and tifo volunteers directing fellow SE’s when to hold up and when to take down so be on alert.
We will also have banners to go along with the LONG colored pieces of fabric so we will need at least 5 banner holders as well as volunteers to pass out, help unfold each piece of fabric and assist SE’s in raising fabric up to their chins (or higher). These volunteers may have to stand in the aisles directing others for the start of the match. If you can help, please contact Tim at tifo@screaming-eagles.com
VW Overhead Banner UPDATE:
We’ve gotten word from D.C. United that they are going to take steps to keep the banner cleaner (hosing down regularly and putting a mat down on the track area so doesn’t pick up dust). We do ask that everyone in the Nest help with the raising and lowering of the shirt as part of our usual tifo efforts (please explain to your guests when they sit in the Nest we expect them to participate in tifo and singing for the full 90 minutes).
Sweet Merciful Crap, A Reserve Game!
The SE Sunday Brunch Bunch will be out this Sunday, August 3 at the RFK Auxiliary field to see the DC United Reserve team take on the KC Reserves. These games are great because you’re super close to the action (and the opposing players are super close to hear you comment on their game).
Kick off is at 10 am, bring your coffee and breakfast treats.
