All season long I’ve said how there are only two teams in the league with one guy in the front and one guy in the back who can win games for you, New England (Twellman and Reis) and LA (Donovan and Cannon). Now I think you have to add DC United to that list, with Perkins keeping us from sheer destruction while Emilio takes his one chance and makes the most of it. As for Vanney, I’ll still wait a little while before making a decision on whether or not the trade was a good idea. But with McTavish stepping up the way he did, he might wind up as the best defensive sub in the league.
